Medical Associates is seeking a motivated IT Programmer intern who is ready to apply educational knowledge and business practices in a real-world environment. The IT Programmer Intern will support the IT team with hands-on programming and development projects, with a primary focus on Python-based development, AI-related initiatives, and Microsoft Foundry tools. This role is designed for students or early-career professionals seeking real-world experience in software development and emerging technologies.
Our internship offers flexible hours, hourly pay, and real-life experience! Note: this is an on-site, in-person internship. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in the IT industry.
IT Programmer Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with writing, testing, and debugging code using Python
  • Support AI and automation projects, including data processing and model integration
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop and enhance internal applications
  • Work within Microsoft Foundry and related Microsoft development tools
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and basic system troubleshooting
  • Learn and apply software development best practices
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Preference will be given to candidates with local ties to the area or plans to remain in the region following the internship
  • Coursework or hands-on experience with Python programming and familiarity with Microsoft development environments or tools (including Microsoft Foundry)
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or automation
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Flexible hours with the capacity to work 20-40 hours per week
