Job Overview
We are seeking to hire a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conversational programming, setting up, and operating Hurco CNC machines to produce precision components for plastic injection and die-cast tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines to produce mold bases, core/cavity inserts, and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and tooling instructions/setup sheets.
- Monitor machining operations and perform necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to troubleshoot machining challenges and improve processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in CNC machining or related manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.).
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
