This role requires a combination of technical expertise, executive-level leadership, and the ability to drive process improvements and business growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to a team of tax professionals, fostering development and high performance
  • Oversee all aspects of tax compliance and review, contributing directly to complex tax returns as needed
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients, delivering technical guidance across multiple tax types
  • Develop and implement training programs, thought leadership, and best practices across the team
  • Stay current with evolving tax laws and regulations, representing the firm in IRS or audit matters
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, technology adoption, and efficiency gains
  • Support business development initiatives, including value-added client services and tax advisory solutions
  • Manage administrative and operational functions, including deadlines, extensions, and tax software optimization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience, with demonstrated expertise in tax preparation and review
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong technical knowledge in at least one tax specialty, with working knowledge of others
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Executive presence, strong client management capabilities, and attention to detail
