Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a confidential manufacturing company in Northeast Iowa. This role supports equipment reliability and preventative maintenance efforts within a fast-paced production environment.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production uptime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on die cast and manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
• Diagnose equipment issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Safely use electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand/power tools.
• Support equipment uptime and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation as required.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience using diagnostic and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Safety-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• PLC troubleshooting or programming experience is a plus.
