BASIC FUNCTION
|
| The Shipping/Receiving works under the supervision of the Production Supervisor and is responsible for, but not limited too: shipping/receiving, inventory management, organization, maintaining required supplies. Additional responsibilities can and may be required to include fork truck operation and maintenance, use of company vehicles for pick up and/or deliveries, assisting Press Hand, general housekeeping practices to assure a safe and clean work environment. |

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Shipments of manufactured products on a timely or as required basis
- Receipt of incoming freight, inspection of select shipments and stocks receipted supplies
- Maintaining an organized and accurate inventory of coil supplies and goods ready for shipment.
- Maintaining inventory of required supplies. (Cartons, labels, tape, UPS, etc,)
- Performs other duties as necessary
- Safe operation of fork trucks
- Responsible for general housekeeping

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
|
- Ability to use basic math skills
- Ability to solve problems in a variety of situations
- Ability to test and pass Fork Truck training and (preferred) Commercial Drivers License.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work overtime and flexible scheduling to meet shipping and receiving requirements

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
|
- Performs duties both inside and outside of the plant. Temperature environments vary with the weather.
- Due to the nature of this business hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes are required.
- Performs duties in a well ventilated, well lighted and temperature controlled plant environment with some level of noise from machinery.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
|
- High school education or equivalent
- Drivers license without travel restrictions. (CDL preferred)
- Computer skills, inventory management and/or inventory management software experience plus.
