What You’ll Do
- MVP Inventory set-up and inventory management.
- MVP work order and preventative maintenance generation and entry.
- Inventory and parts research for price and availability.
- Compile information gathered from work orders daily into monthly expense and efficiency reports.
- Participate and document crash investigations.
- Assist with safety training.
- Assist with plant wide safety audits and compliance.
- Maintain a complete and up to date Right-to-Know Program.
- Support facilities staff with troubleshooting & machine problem solving.
- Assists with machine repairs as needed.
- Works with outside vendors to make sure they comply with BEC (Bodine Electric Company) safety policies when working in the plant.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows all departmental work procedures and company policies, including all company safety policies.
- Participates in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable.
- Participates in and assists in employee training programs.
- Ensures the work area and equipment are properly maintained to provide safe and efficient operation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Occasional overtime required.
- Occasional travel required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Advanced level maintenance machine knowledge.
- Basic trade skills preferred.
- Knowledge of Bodine Electric equipment.
- Some programming ability preferred.
- Knowledgeable in the use of information systems such as MVP, Microsoft Office, Visual PDM, and Epicor Kinetic.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read and understand prints for parts acquisition.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Experience and Education
- 2 years in BEC (Bodine Electric Company) related machine maintenance for parts recognition.
- High school diploma or GED (or high school equivalence certificate) required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
You’ll split your time between the office and plant floor in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. PPE is required on the production floor.
