Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Dubuque YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Day Camp staff will report directly to Lead Counselors and are responsible for assisting with the care of campers and helping implement daily programming.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Three years of camp counseling experience preferred.
• Belay certification.
• Enjoys being in the company of children.
• Communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates strong leadership/management skills
• Demonstrates care for the individual growth of children.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Certification
