Divine Word College

Divine Word College, a Roman Catholic College Seminary of the Divine Word Missionaries (SVD), invites applications for a pool of Adjunct Music Instructors within the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies for in-person, individual instruction of Applied Music courses as needed, beginning in Fall 2026 Semester. Instructors in guitar, voice, or clarinet are encouraged to apply. These are 1 credit courses, with an end-of-term recital required. Instruction must take place between 9 am and 5 pm, as arranged by student and instructor. The initial contract is for one semester and is renewable thereafter on a semester basis, depending on need. Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis, according to course needs/enrollment.

Successful applicants will possess a Master’s degree or higher in Music Performance, Pedagogy or a closely related field, from an accredited institution of higher learning, and will have previous teaching experience.

Applicants must provide evidence of effective teaching, commitment to mentoring undergraduate students, ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration, and experience in an intercultural classroom environment.
