About the Opportunity

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for a confidential opportunity with a manufacturing company in Northeast Iowa. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and safe, efficient operations.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced industrial environment supporting production equipment, PLC systems, and facility electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, PLCs, and control panels
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, multimeters, and diagnostic tools
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and electrical equipment
• Support and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems and machinery
• Follow OSHA safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Document all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections accurately
• Collaborate with mechanical maintenance and production teams to support operations

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including 480V, 3-phase, and industrial controls
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
