Job Overview

Leads student support functions for the College and provides strategic oversight for an integrated student support model. This position serves as the primary administrator for Student Conduct and the Care Committee, directing behavioral intervention strategies and supervision of mental health services to ensure ahigh standard of safety and customer service. Handles multiple tasks simultaneously, manage a diverse caseload, and effectively refer students to appropriate campus and community resources. The Director leads division-wide policy management and collaborates across the institution to ensure high standards of customer service, safety, and retention.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of regulations, policies, processes and procedures.
Experience in post-secondary education with community college experience preferred.
Experience working with Maxient or other reporting software preferred.
Experience working with Student Conduct preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Title IX Coordinator certification preferred.
Civil Rights Investigator certification preferred.

Serves as the lead Conduct Officer, investigating complaints, advising parties of their rights, responsibilities, and options; providing formal and informal resolutions; facilitating educational conferences and determining sanctions.
Coordinates the hearing panel, confirms the selection of faculty/staff, and conducts comprehensive training for all panel members.
Provides direct administrative supervision and professional oversight of mental health counseling staff.
Leads the Care Committee, a cross-departmental team and convenes weekly or emergency meetings for immediate risk assessment for students identified as a risk to self, others, or property. Coordinates with students and families regarding leaves of absence and safe returns to campus.
Serves as the primary administrator for conduct and care tracking software (Maxient); maintains accurate disciplinary records, tracking of referred students for care team and composes formal letters regarding serious issues. Provides faculty and staff outreach and training.
