Specialized Recruiting Group is partnering with a growing manufacturer to find a Manufacturing Engineering Technician. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of design, drafting, CNC programming, and hands-on problem solving.

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support engineering and production teams by creating product drawings, developing prototypes, improving manufacturability, and assisting with engineering changes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with designers, engineers, project managers, and production teams to bring new products and improvements to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify product models, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Prepare detailed drawings and sketches using CAD software.
• Work closely with Designers, Engineers, Technical Specialists, and Project Managers to coordinate engineering designs.
• Develop preliminary sketches and models to support new product concepts.
• Recommend technical changes and design improvements as needed.
• Provide CNC programming support for new and specialty parts.
• Modify designs to improve manufacturability and production efficiency.
• Build and evaluate prototypes for new product development.
• Perform tolerance analysis with guidance from engineering staff.
• Create fabrication drawings and assembly drawings for jigs and fixtures.
• Assist with the design and production of custom or special products.
• Support the creation, release, and distribution of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of related experience in manufacturing, drafting, or engineering support roles.
• Equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD experience required
• Solid Edge experience preferred
• CNC programming experience is a plus
• Experience creating product, fabrication, and assembly drawings
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
• Experience with prototyping, tolerance analysis, and engineering documentation preferred
