Job Overview

Provides security for faculty, staff, students, and visitors within an assigned area of the college campus. Provides escort services, and other basic public assistance services as needed, and performs routine security and public safety patrol duties within the assigned area. Remains alert to emergency situations and provides first-line response, emergency management, and/or referral if required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in law enforcement, security and emergency procedures, and safety plans and precautions required.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to relate to persons of all ages. Effective communication skills. Knowledge and ability to handle emergency situations calmly and with proficiency. Ability to work cooperatively with campus personnel and follow established protocol as well as college policies and procedures.
