Shipping/Receiving Specialist

·         Unloads and unpacks incoming shipments

·         Verifies completeness of shipment against shipping order

·         Receives copies of invoices/work orders and files for retrieval when goods are received

·         Verifies goods received against  invoices/work orders

·         Assembles, packs, protects, labels, and weighs shipments

·         Routes all customer shipments according to customer instructions

·         Completes all required shipping documents and company shipping records

·         Solves problems associated with carrier, routing, and shipping schedules

·         Determines and use most economical method of shipment for goods

·         Traces shipment when necessary

·         Maintains adequate inventory

·         Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment
