Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local company to search for an Administrative/Accounting Assistant to join their team. This will start as a temporary position through the end of the year, with potential to go long term. Candidates looking for an internship or temporary work are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone full time to assist with administrative, accounting, and operational support. May include answering phones and assisting customers but typically supports accounting and clerical functions for multiple departments.

Hours: Can have flexible hours for the right candidate. More hours available during summer and fall.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Timely processing of all payables related to assigned products or locations. This involves verifying the incoming invoice with the information entered into the system, proper application of units to contracts, and timely settlements.
  • Extensive customer service responsibilities including resolution of problems and discrepancies as well as building relationships.
  • Review and submit all payables and receivables; gathering any needed paperwork to complete processing on a weekly basis.
  • Respond to routine correspondence in a timely fashion with farmers, corporate management, and other external parties.
  • Must keep filing up to date and easily accessible.
  • General office and accounting support.
  • Work together with the merchandiser and manager to ensure all service work and documentation are up to date.
  • Accurate data entry of units
  • Assist with the verification of daily reports with tickets loaded and unloaded into the facility and resolve any issues.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge a must; 3 years experience desired.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • General office experience
  • Multi-tasking work style
  • Teamwork – work as a member of a team to share ideas and solve problems
  • Must have good PC skills – Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
