Job Overview

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform all administrative duties as a supervisor of Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs)
- Maintain attendance, pay records, and evaluation records of CFIs
- Assist with scheduling of aircraft and students, quality assurance of student records, and push/pull team supervision
- Work with dispatch on any related issues
- Coordinate with the Director of Safety on all safety and security-related concerns
- Lead and manage CFIs
- Responsible for their normal CFI duties; conducting flight blocks, ground lessons, and student tracking
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- CFI, CFII, and multi-engine ratings
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, supervise, and manage small groups of CFIs
- Strong active listening and communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and/or the ability to multi-task
- Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations
- Flexibility with schedule as need arises (some evening and weekend hours)
- Ability to use discretion and confidentiality in department and University matters
- Ability to relate to a culturally diverse university community
- Commitment to the Mission of the University
