PROJECT AND FACILITIES MANAGER

The Leisure Services Department provides an integrated, efficient, and safe system of parks, trails, and recreational facilities and quality services to the entire community with diverse recreational programs for all. The department also plans, develops, and maintains the formal public landscaping and natural areas in and around the City, demonstrating an appreciation for the environment. The Park Division maintains over 1,200 acres of parkland and over 300 facilities. The Recreation Division provides equitable and diverse recreational opportunities for all ages. Facilities include the Five Flags Civic Center, a concert and entertainment venue, and the Grand River Center Conference and Education Center situated along the Mississippi River. We welcome your application for the position of Project and Facilities Manager, a new position that will lead and manage capital, facility and special projects and initiatives for the Department including but not limited to parks, trails,  and department facilities; and administer leases and agreements. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or major coursework in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, construction management, operations management and supervision, facilities or business management; or public/business administration or any equivalency; 10 or more years of capital improvement project management and facilities management experience; and possession of a state driver’s license are required.
