The Health, Wellness and Behavioral Sciences Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Psychology, set to begin August 2023. The successful candidate will teach courses that meet major and university requirements, such as Lifespan Development, Research Methods, Sensation and Perception, Motivation and Emotion, Physiological and Cognitive Psychology. Candidates with a background in Health Psychology are particularly encouraged to apply. Although Clarke University prioritizes teaching in the liberal arts tradition, evidence of professional activity and service – including advising – are expected.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. is preferred. Applicants who are A.B.D. will also be considered. Technology and multimedia aptitudes are important. The successful candidate will teach a range of traditional lecture courses with the possibility of also teaching in hybrid or online modalities. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a Catholic university with a strong sense of community that is firmly grounded in the liberal arts tradition and committed to the values of education, justice, charity, and freedom. Administrative and leadership experience is preferred.
