Job Overview

Summary/Objective 

The Training and Development Associate will create, develop, implement, and present training and development programs for employees.

Essential Functions

1. Work directly with Training Officer to continually develop, implement, and deliver formalized training programs to meet the overall training and development needs of the Bank.

2. Manage and guide new staff and staff job transitions though onboarding process with direct communication with staff supervisor.

3. Work closely with Regions and Department Heads to recognize training opportunities to improve individual and branch results.

4. Research, and/or develop teaching aids such as handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and computer tutorials, including outside training resources.

5. Support meeting organization by ensuring availability, facility setup, audiovisual setup and invitations, if needed by meeting organizer.

6. Prepare and maintain training videos and organize the library of video training aids.

7. Monitor testing trainees, when needed, and regularly conduct surveys to measure progress and to evaluate overall effectiveness of the training program and specific curriculum.

8. Report the progress of trainees to the appropriate supervisor or manager during or after training periods.

9. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Lending Regulations, Deposit Regulations, etc.

10. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with arms, talk or hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, some distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Some driving may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additional working hours may be required for this position to ensure the functionality of the department and overall functionality of the bank.

Travel

Travel will be required for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. 2-4 year college degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Presentation and facilitation skills.
  2. Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
