Information Systems Student

Position is located in Dubuque, IA

Grand River Medical group is seeking a motivated Information Systems Student for our I.S. department. Duties for this position include assisting users on supported computer applications and platforms of information technology and providing service desk coverage when necessary.

The ideal candidate would be eager to learn while also possessing strong critical thinking skills. You will be accountable, supportive and have strong organizational and communication skills.

Grand River Medical Group, a leading healthcare provider in the Dubuque and tri-state area, is currently seeking a high school or college student looking to gain experience in information technology and/or healthcare. This is a part time position, approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Aid users on supported computer applications and platforms of information technology.
  • Coordinate activities in support of user training and assistance requests for all programs.
  • Monitor assistance efforts periodically and provide assessment reports to management on status and recommend improvements.
  • Research, diagnose, identify and escalate problems and requests.
  • Provide service desk coverage when necessary.
  • Strive for professional and job-related growth and development of self and others.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Current high school or college student.
  • Ability to use office equipment (computer, telephone, fax, copier, calculator).

Grand River Medical Group is an independent physician owned practice located in Dubuque, IA. We provide a wide range of healthcare services from primary care to subspecialty care for adults and children.
