Job Overview
Job Summary
The Facilities Assistant’s maintains the cleanliness and general maintenance needs within Hirschbach’s offices and terminals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains the cleanliness of lobbies, restrooms, showers, meeting rooms and other office/terminal areas.
- Performs cleaning duties, including emptying garbage, mopping/cleaning floors, dusting, and disinfecting.
- Monitors the facilities to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Informs the Facilities team of need for repairs.
- Runs errands and routes mail between Hirschbach locations.
- Assists the Facilities team in building and assembling items and completing projects.
- Makes adjustments or minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, or electrical systems.
- Removes snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, or snow shovels, or spread snow-melting chemicals.
- Other duties as assigned including proactively assisting others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
Talent Requirements and Skills
- Valid Driver’s license and ability to driver company vehicles.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to inspect facility conditions to identify cleanliness and prioritize duties.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Demonstrates an "All In to Win" attitude and displays self-motivation and a strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment.
