BASIC FUNCTION

The Zamboni Driver is responsible for maintaining a quality ice surface through scheduled resurfacings and other assigned ice maintenance at the Mystique Ice Arena. The Zamboni Driver is responsible for the cleanliness of locker rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, bleachers and hallways, as well as other assigned areas.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for maintaining ice rink, locker rooms, bleachers and areas surrounding as assigned by the Supervisor.
2. Maintain facility schedule by following posted resurfacing times.
3. Perform cleaning whenever needed to maintain the facility and its surroundings in a clean and respectable condition.
4. Work as a team member to ensure that the entire building is cleaned, stocked and ready for the next day's operation.
5. Communicate with supervisor and other staff members any concerns and/or needs of the building and its equipment.
6. Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff and supervisors.
7. Provide customer service, share information and solve issues with the general public.
   Complete all other duties as assigned by the Facility Supervisor, or other full-time arena employees.
8. Shovel and salt sidewalks and exit to maintain safe entrance and egress.
9. Assist in the closing of the building as needed.
10. Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

1. The candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
2. High School diploma or equivalent.
3. Ability to follow written and oral direction.
4. Ability to work nights and weekends.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Heavy work, ability to move up to 50 lbs.
2. work regularly requires sitting

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

1. Loud noise levels
2. This position occasionally has outside activities, therefore, has exposure to weather conditions.
