Job Purpose: As the Manager of Global Sales & Operations (MGSO) you will lead the growth of our company through the generation of new global business opportunities and the buildout of our U.S.A. freight forwarding operations team. The MGSO position will focus on all aspects of global supply chain services with a primary emphasis on global forwarding services. The MGSO will develop and manage a global sales funnel of potential clients to include a definition of the Stockwell Sales Stages and the advancement of a potential client through the sales pipeline. The MGSO will work in collaboration with our investor group to deliver generate global business opportunities that include both transactional and strategic client opportunities as well as build our internal infrastructure here within the U.S.
This position is a flex role where the associate will work in a hybrid remote/in-office environment.
Business Development Representative Essential Responsibilities
- Sourcing potential clients utilizing global indexes for import and export activity
- Generation of a lead list illustrating a potential business opportunity for global shippers
- Conducting cold calls to introduce Stockwell’s global services to prospective clients.
- Generation of cost model, value proposal, and other collateral required within the presales process of a potential global client.
- Responsible for preparation and submission of RFI/RFQs for potential and existing global clients.
- Responsible for maintenance and management of the global sales funnel within the CRM tool to include alignment of the sale stages and definition of the overall relationship with the customer/client
- The hiring of operations personnel to include roles and responsibilities within Stockwell U.S. operations team.
- Lead, direct and manage operations in fulfillment of our customer commitments.
- Responsible for identification of and communication of potential growth opportunities to be secured with additional resources to include the Inside Sales Teams, Solution Services, and Stockwell Leadership
- Responsible for meeting key growth metrics including total revenue, total margin, transaction count, and margin percentage.

Preferences:

- Outstanding Oral and Written Communication Skills

- Able to accommodate a flex role where the associate will work in a hybrid remote/in-office.
- Able to train for first 3 months on-site in Australia
- 5-10 years of international forwarding experience
- 3+ years of global forwarding sales experience
- Client Facing
- Ability to Relocate/Commute - Dubuque, IA 52003: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- 20% - 50% Travel

Stockwell US is focused on the growth of the U.S. export and import to/from the U.S. AU, Asia, Southeast Asia, U.K., and the EU.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
