We currently have a Part-Time Retail Banker position open for immediate placement. Approximately 25 hours per week. The part-time shift will be Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm (some flexibility in hours may be required from time to time). This position also works a rotating Saturday shift from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
Facilitate Opening of Business and Consumer New Deposit and Safe Deposit Box Accounts:
- Ask Probing, relationship-building questions prior to recommending new products
- Recommend appropriate products during consultation and for future follow up
- Accurately and timely input of data into the core processing system to include proper identification and verification
- Assist customers with enrollment processes for digital banking services including online banking, e-statements and mobile banking
- Provide all proper disclosures and new account documentation to customers
Routine Follow up Tasks and In-Person Customer Service Requests:
- Resolution support of errors, disputes, fraud and general banking inquiries
- Process transfer requests, maintenance recurring transactions and other routine account and customer maintenance requests
- Operate a teller drawer daily and facilitate transactions such as deposits, withdraws, wire transfers, check orders, change orders, night drops, mail transactions, issue negotiable instruments, cash advances and other ancillary products
- Perform H S A contributions, distributions, new account set up and maintenance transactions
- General branch operations including but not limited to answering incoming phone calls, greeting and directing customers, vault balancing, ATM balancing, debit card printing and process cash sells to the Fed
Grow Core Deposits, Consumer Loan Portfolio and Expand Customer Relationships:
- Grow relationships by making outbound calls to new and existing customers, prospecting for referrals and attending offsite appointments and events
- Follow bank’s process for appropriate follow up with customers
- Refer products to other departments including mortgage loans, commercial loans, investment services, merchant processing and life insurance
- Attend and contribute to weekly and quarterly departmental and bank wide meetings
- Complete and attend ongoing sales, product, service, operational and regulatory training

Performance Expectations:
- Successful sales of new deposit products by attaining personal sales and referral goals
- Achieve effective maximization of digital delivery channels including online banking, mobile banking and e-statements
- Core deposit and credit card growth and retention in accordance with bank goals through Relationship Management and other initiatives
- Satisfactory service and maintenance of new and existing customer relationships
- Update and maintain performance progress in CRM system

- Satisfactory completion of all required compliance training courses and complies with all regulations
We’re looking for individuals who possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication skills, customer service skills and sales skills
- One to two years of banking experience preferred but not required
- Overall knowledge of retail banking/financial institution products and services
- Must register as an MLO under the SAFE Act
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Equipment/products used include computer, typewriter, copier, telephone, fax machine, voicemail, printer, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
