Job description

Job Purpose: As an Account Executive of specialized equipment in the transportation industry for our Fulfillment Team, you will be managing and executing transportation fulfillment services for RT&T Logistics Inc. The Account Executive will develop new business and manage the current business for specialized equipment focused on the flatbed, open deck, step deck, and oversized freight. The Account Executive will grow their existing clients by promoting company products and services. Increase client satisfaction by improving responsiveness and anticipating clients’ needs. Assist with onboarding new clients and provide customer service to assigned accounts. Stimulate growth and partnership, and enhance profitability, while also prioritizing excellence in the execution of services across all Specialized Equipment modes.

Critical to your success will be the ability to build long-term relationships with both the client and carrier sales that create measurable value for your customer accounts and cultivate additional business opportunities for Rockfarm and RT&T Logistics. This role works in a fast-paced environment fulfilling transportation solutions and requires a positive attitude, and a high level of integrity and teamwork.

Account Executive – Specialized Equipment Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Attending Account Executive sales training
  • Sell company services to assigned leads
  • Execute CRM Account Executive process
  • Managing all aspects of Client Satisfaction
  • Responsible for all aspects
  • Work with Provider development to build carrier pool network
  • Account analysis – using the data tools to make an informed decision
  • Support communication and services needed during non–business hours
  • Report weekly in the dashboard
  • Create action plans to achieve, maintain and exceed goals
  • Following Standard Operating Policies (SOP)
  • Timely completion of duties
  • Timely communication
  • Attend weekly pulse meetings to review the dashboard and identify issues.
  • Attend quarterly conversations to identify what is working and what is not working
  • Participate as a stakeholder when needed in Change Management docs
  • Achieving Financial Operating Plan gross margin

KPI Performance: Meet key performance indicators for quantity and quality as outlined on the job-specific dashboard

Skill requirements/ preferences:

  • Sales & account management of flatbed, open deck, step deck, and oversized freight experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Master of Office Suite Products
  • 3 years of industry experience in logistics, brokerage of third-party transportation or 5 years in a sales position
  • Excellent verbalization and presentation skills
  • One week of in-office training required – remote afterward
