Job Overview

The University of Dubuque is a growing faith based University that is seeking a Collection Management and Interlibrary Loan Specialist in the Charles C Myers Library.  The University of Dubuque offers an excellent benefits package including tuition remission, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, and a retirement match.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Order, catalog, and process library materials in all formats using JTACQ, the library ordering system, and WorldShare, the library management system
  • Supervise the ILLiad interlibrary loan and document delivery services, including collecting statistical data
  • Supervise deaccession of materials
  • Supervise student assistant(s)
  • Provide support for the information literacy and reference program, including reference support for distance learners
  • Work on Docline lending requests, keep the Docline holdings up to date, provide Docline statistics and deal with any upgrades or other changes to Docline
  • Participate in library planning and committees
  • Participates in the life of the University community
  • Manage change, work independently, and actively contributes to a team committed to the mission of the University and the library
  • Participate in other projects as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Ability to provide excellent service
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, JTacq, ILLiad, WorldShare Library Management System
  • Library experience, particularly with the WorldShare integrated library system and/or ILLiad is preferred
