The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Outreach Coordinator. The Outreach Coordinator plays a critical role in assisting and educating our students and their families in the financial aid and onboarding process both on campus in within the community. The Outreach Coordinator is one of two front line staff reporting through the financial aid office who have varied duties described below.
Coordinator Specific Duties:
- Partners with the Enrollment Marketing Coordinator in event planning where Financial Aid would be represented both on and off campus.
- Organize campus and community outreach events focused on FAFSA completion, financial literacy, and retention.
- Assist in endowed scholarship selection and awareness efforts
- Assist in student retention efforts through outreach campaigns and programing related to Financial Aid.
- Work closely with other departments on overlapping intake tasks and student services
- Greets students and other visitors to Haas administration
Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Receive and handles all incoming student documentation and follows up with students regarding missing information in a timely manner.
- Works with multiple electronic financial aid, registrar, and retention reports on scheduled and ad hoc basis
- Coordinates, trains, and oversees student workers in the following areas:
- Greets students and other visitors to Haas administration
- Answers telephone and oversees the Financial Aid email account.
- Opens and sorts mail daily and handles mailings.
- Orders and maintains office inventory.
- Keeps storage areas in order and purge old records when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Employee must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, customer service experience and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bachelor degree and experience in financial aid highly preferred. A preference for someone with strong Microsoft Office skills, financial aid, and Colleague (Datatel) experience is highly recommended.
