Clarke University invites applications for a full-time position in Accounting beginning August 2023. As we develop and launch new offerings, we wish to grow our department with a faculty member who can teach in both our Bachelor of Arts programs in Accounting and our Master of Business Administration program. Successful candidates will teach online and in-person courses. Additional responsibilities include advising students, supervising internships and service-learning experiences, preparing and assessing curriculum, recruiting and retaining students, and various committee work.
A doctorate in Accounting or a related field is preferred, but a master’s degree in Accounting with CPA or CMA certification is acceptable. The ability to function in a technology-rich environment as well as having administrative and leadership experience is preferred. All candidates should be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
This faculty position will join the Business, Sport Management, Computer Science, Communication, Accounting and Digital Media Studies department. The department has ten full-time and several part-time faculty members who offer a supportive environment for academic and professional development. Undergraduate major offerings include Sport Management, Business Administration (with emphases in Management, Finance, and Marketing), Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Communication, and Digital Media Studies. Salary and benefits are competitive.
