Why the Director of Marketing is critical to our organization:

• Lead marketing strategies and manage end customer facing marketing initiatives
• Coordinate with Sales Team and Leadership to execute the marketing strategy
• Drive Traffic through PR, Blog, Podcast, Youtube, and other media channels
• Coordinate and deliver customer acquisition and retention programs

What This Role Entails:

The Public Relations Intern will assist the management team in creating and implementing effective PR strategies to enhance the company's reputation and build brand awareness. The intern will work closely with the team to develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, manage the company's social media presence, event planning, and create content for press releases, newsletters, and other communications.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the management team in developing and implementing effective PR strategies
• Maintain and update media contact lists
• Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, newsletters, and other communications
• Monitor and track media coverage, and compile regular reports on media mentions and other metrics
• Manage the company's social media accounts, including posting updates and responding to comments and messages
• Help to organize and coordinate events, press conferences, and other PR activities
• Perform research as needed to support the management team’s efforts

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Knowledge of social media and digital marketing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to meet deadlines

This is a part-time, paid internship located in Dubuque, Iowa. The duration of the internship is 3-6 months, with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time position based on performance.
