Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing faith based University that is seeking a Graduate Assistant - in Campus Ministry Department for the 2023-2024 term, with a potential renewal for 2024-2025.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as point-person in developing a team of students in a coordinated effort to include their technological and graphic talents toward the goals of a communication plan, and help maintain/oversee webpages and social media
- Assist with the development phase of a Database Management project, continue to maintain the database through the year, establishing procedures for ongoing maintenance
- Supervise applicable student-leaders and work-study students
- Provide administrative presence to the office, helping with tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters’ program
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Utilize excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Proficiency in the use of technology and a variety of computer programs, including experience in and passion for graphic design, communication technology, and database management
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time
- Ability to understand and support the Christian identity of UD and the purpose of Campus Ministry, which includes what is expressed in Campus Ministry’s Mission and Values
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week.
