SPA ATTENDANT
PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
To work as a member of the spa team, guiding guests after checking in, to our pre-therapy process. Maintaining the public areas, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in all lobby, restrooms, hallways, relaxation room, locker rooms and shower facilities. Assures the public areas of the Spa exceed facility standards for cleanliness and orderliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- After check–in, guides guests through the locker room changing process; escorting the guest to the relaxation room.
- Maintains good customer relations by answering questions and addressing customer concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
- Keeps locker room in guest ready condition by replenishes towels and locker room supplies.
- Keeps relaxation room stocked with amenities such as, water, hot teas, fresh fruit and snacks.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Cleans relaxation room, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, locker rooms, and entrances and other work areas for guest ready condition.
- Transport glassware to kitchen area for sanitation.
- Sweeps the locker room and relaxation floors.
- Dusts walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, mirrors and sills.
- Empties trash receptacles.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. At least 3 months housekeeping experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow associates.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to make appropriate judgments regarding the process of cleaning public areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be able to push/pull/lift up to and including 50 pounds. Must have the ability to clean public areas effectively. Job frequently requires reaching, standing, walking, and crouching.
HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
