RIE Coatings, LLC, located in both Eden Valley, MN and Dubuque, IA, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team! This is a full-time position, located at our Dubuque, IA plant, with some travel to our Eden Valley, MN plant required. This position is full of opportunities as our company continues to expand!
To be a successful HR Generalist, you'll need to have:
- Multi-state payroll experience - This role will make the necessary data changes within our HRIS system (iSolved) and process bi-weekly payroll for the entire company and any new locations we acquire. This person will be the expert on payroll laws as we expand into new states.
- Benefits administration and regulation experience - This role will be responsible for helping new hires with benefits enrollment as they become eligible. This role will also assist with the annual open enrollment process as well as scheduled funding of benefit plans.
- A passion for creating a good employee experience - This role will be responsible for the onboarding of new hires starting with the HR orientation, weekly evaluations of trainees, assisting with engagement and recognition programs, exit interviews, etc.
- Willingness to help where needed - This role will also assume some of the administrative responsibilities that come with an HR department - filing, employment verifications, assisting with troubleshooting technology, supporting our safety coordinator, etc. This role will serve as a backup to the HR Manager as needed.
- Ability to travel to the Eden Valley, MN plant for a few days every 6-8 weeks or as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Advanced education, either a 2 or 4-year degree in HR, Business, or a similar field of study
- Minimum 2 years of multistate payroll experience
- Minimum 2 years of general HR experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Office
