Dealer Trainer
Develops and conducts programs to train all employees as needed in service repairs, programming, safety and maintenance for both chassis and engines of Class 5 – 8 diesel vehicles by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include the following in addition to other duties that may be assigned by management.
Instructs Technicians on service, safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of Class 5 – 8 diesel vehicles, following outline, handouts, and testing.
Demonstrates correct procedures and processes of the company.
Confers with management and supervisor to determine training objectives.
Develops and monitors course curriculum as needed for evolution of the training paths.
Writes training programs, including outline, text, handouts, and tests, and designs laboratory exercises.
Collaborates with Training Coordinator to schedule classes based on need, classroom and equipment availability.
Observes trainees in both shop and classroom settings to answers trainees' questions.
Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance.
Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facility and integrates information into training program. *** Additional hours and some travel will be necessary.
Routinely or as needed, visit each dealership to meet with Service Managers and technicians.
Ensures program compliance with DTNA Dealer Trainer requirements.
Supports and encourages technicians as they work through their training plans.
Assist in developing a positive attitude for our employees.
Must be able to travel to/from each training facility to conduct company training as needed.

Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to carry out Company policies and understand proper protocol
