Job Overview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist athletic department administration in the areas of marketing, event management, game day promotion, and other areas as needed
- Assist with game day logistics by communicating with campus partners, visiting institutions, and officials
- Assist with the management of student workers
- Assist with data entry of student-athlete document completion and clearance
- Manage sport transportation requests
- Assist with the yearly athletic banquet
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters’ program
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division III and American Rivers Conference rules and compliance
- Valid driver's license
- Flexibility with schedule (ex. evening or weekend commitments)
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written
- Proficiency in graphic design, social media, video, and all relevant software
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. Additionally, this position has the ability to receive campus housing and a meal plan or hourly compensation for duties/hours in addition to the required twenty (20) hours per week.
