Job Overview

The Wendt Center at the University of Dubuque seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant - Wendt Center for Character Education (GA) position from participants in the Master’s of Management program for the 2022-2023 term, with a potential renewal for 2023-2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain social media presence
  • Generate content for social media, newsletter, and other department communications
  • Communicate with Wendt Character Scholars
  • Administrative, record-keeping, and special event planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters’ program
  • Effective written, digital, and face-to-face communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the Wendt Character Initiative preferred

All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA.  In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week.
