POSITION TITLE: Sales and Marketing Assistant
STATUS: Full-Time, Salary
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Create marketing strategies and maintain sales and marketing materials for a variety of products. Prepare and analyze product presentation materials for established customers and social media campaigns.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: BA degree in business, marketing, or communications, preferred.
Experience: Minimum two to three years’ experience in marketing and/or ecommerce. Strong computer skills including design programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support and report directly to Sales Manager.
- Develop and manage overall marketing tasks and strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement online marketing strategies such as social media, email, and search engine marketing.
- Create and produce all product and corporate imaging for brochures, product manuals, online sales, and social media, including photography, videography, accompanied by concise and professional writing.
- Understand and have ability to utilize social media platforms, including scheduling posts, evaluating content, and observing and responding to followers’ comments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing campaigns to make data driven decisions to improve performance.
- Gain detailed product knowledge to respond to inquiries from customers and business associates regarding product material composition, assembly and application.
- Maintain and enforce appropriate use of established brands (including trademarks, logos, color palettes, etc.) throughout the companies’ literature, websites, promotional materials, and packaging.
- Responsible for maintaining product compliance requirements including testing, labelling, and reporting.
- Work with sales team and customers to ensure product packaging guidelines are followed, including bar codes, appropriate sizing for online and retail sales, and adherence to specific customer requirements.
- Conduct market research, analyze data, evaluate market trends, and apply knowledge to product marketing strategies.
- Track progress of promotions and marketing strategies for existing and newly introduced products to determine best approach for optimum sales.
- Communicate with management on marketing and design options and new marketing channels and programs.
- Develop and maintain budget for product development and sales accountability.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing events and trade shows.
- Share information and communicate well with all staff to enforce a positive team environment.
