The university is seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Associate Director of Annual Funds and Alumni Engagement. Under the direction of the Director of Annual Funds and Alumni Engagement, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of annual fund programming and the development of alumni engagement communications and activities.
Primary responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Annual Funds and Alumni Engagement and external vendor partners to create annual and multi-year strategic plans and calendars for the annual fund and alumni engagement programs.
- Write and implement direct mail, electronic and social media solicitations.
- Create, implement, and manage giving programs for specific constituent and affinity groups (i.e., recent graduates, students, faculty/staff, etc.).
- Work closely with internal and external partners to assist with the planning and implementation of the annual online day of giving campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, to plan and implement the annual Clarke University Golf Classic.
- Work closely with the Director of Annual Funds and Alumni Engagement to align the University’s alumni relations activities with its annual fund programming.
- Plan, coordinate, and support local, regional, national, and online alumni events, including but not limited to Homecoming, Your Best U, Coffee with Clarke, socials, brunches, graduation celebration, and new events.
- Recruit and engage volunteers/hosts to assist with events, Homecoming class representatives, and other opportunities.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications include:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 2-3 years of experience in alumni relations, marketing, sales, fundraising or a related field are required. Exceptional oral and written communication and people skills as well as knowledge of the MS Office suite and related technology are essential, as is the proven ability to work effectively as a team member, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge database or similar CRM software is preferred. The ability to work occasional evening and weekend events is necessary.
