Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Benefits Salesperson to join a local company! This is a direct hire position, meaning you would start on the company's payroll on day one.
As a Benefits Salesperson, your main role is selling insurance products and services, with a focus on employee benefits. Your responsibilities include prospecting clients, presenting tailored insurance solutions, and managing client relationships. Key tasks involve sales, client management, product knowledge, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify potential clients, including businesses seeking employee benefit plans.
  • Conduct market research for new sales opportunities and trends.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through networking and referrals.
  • Present insurance products, emphasizing benefits that meet client needs.
  • Close sales by negotiating policy terms.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships to understand their insurance needs.
  • Recommend appropriate insurance coverage options.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and claims promptly.
  • Periodically review clients' insurance plans for satisfaction and upselling opportunities.
Product Knowledge and Compliance:
  • Stay updated on insurance products, regulations, and market trends.
  • Understand features, benefits, and limitations of insurance plans, including employee benefits.
  • Follow company policies and regulatory guidelines for ethical sales practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
  • Generate sales reports and forecasts to track progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven sales track record, preferably in insurance or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand clients' needs and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and team player.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid insurance license (or willingness to obtain one) according to local regulations.
Details:
  • Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
  • Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 plus 25% commission on new sales brought in.
  • Opportunity to work remotely one day a week is available.
