Manufacturing Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Job Overview

The Specialized Recruiting Group has partnered with a company in Maquoketa, IA, and is currently seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will oversee the manufacturing operations, which include CNC machining, assembly, powder coating, and shipping. As a working supervisor, you will also be involved in performing manufacturing tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the manufacturing operations on the 2nd shift, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety goals are met.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to the production team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Monitor and evaluate performance, providing feedback, training, and coaching to team members to ensure continuous improvement.
• Perform manufacturing tasks alongside the team, as needed, to meet production demands.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
• Support employee development, including cross-training and skills enhancement, to build a capable and versatile workforce.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment or related work experience is required.
• Experience with CNC machining is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, powder coating, and shipping.
• Familiarity with production scheduling, quality control, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
