Express Employment has partnered with a reputable company in Dubuque, IA, and is currently seeking skilled Fleet Maintenance Mechanics for both the 2nd and 3rd shifts. As a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing diesel vehicles, specifically semi-tractors, and trailers. Your expertise in diesel repair, driveline components, air brake systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the leet.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your knowledge of diesel repair and diagnostics to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines.
• Demonstrate an understanding of driveline components, including transmissions, axles, and differentials, and perform necessary repairs.
• Diagnose and repair air brake systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections, perform Annual Inspections, and carry out preventive maintenance on semi-tractors and trailers.
• Identify and address electrical system malfunctions, including wiring, lighting, and battery-related problems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Solid knowledge and experience in diesel repair and diagnostics, enabling you to efficiently identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Comprehensive understanding of driveline components, allowing you to perform effective repairs on transmissions, axles, and differentials.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing air brake systems to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Familiarity with electrical systems in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, and battery-related components.
• Experience performing Annual Inspections and conducting preventive maintenance on semi tractors and trailers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow repair manuals, guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and accurate reporting of repair and maintenance activities.

Additional Information: This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work either the 2nd shift (afternoon/evening) or the 3rd shift (night). We offer a competitive salary of $29.40 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits and potential career growth within the company.
