Position: AmeriCorps Social-Emotional Learning Intervention Coordinator
Pay: Living allowance Total: 8,775 ($487.50 every 2 weeks over 36 weeks) + Education Award: $2,626.27
Shift Information: 675 Hour Contract – Minimum of 22-25 hours/week. 36 Weeks Contract (September 5th,2023 – May 11, 2024)
- Monday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Tuesday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Wednesday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Thursday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Friday: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: Off
Eligibility Criteria:
- Pass a criminal history check prior to the first day
- Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: US citizen, US national, or Lawful Permanent Resident

The Social-Emotional Learning Intervention Coordinator plays a vital role in providing targeted support to at-risk youth in the Dubuque community. As an AmeriCorps member, you will be responsible for implementing and promoting social-emotional learning initiatives to enhance the overall well-being and academic success of students. This role requires a passionate and dedicated individual who understands the importance of social-emotional development and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Duties:
- Participate in A-DRT training(s) to ensure the member has knowledge and ability to respond to disasters.

- Conduct and analyze DESSA assessments and evaluations to measure students' social-emotional competencies and progress.
- Collaborate with the school's crisis response team to provide support during challenging situations.
- Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development.
- Recruit, manage, monitor, train, and document volunteer involvement with SEL programming.
- Participate in A-DRT training(s) to ensure the member has knowledge and ability to respond to disasters.
