Hotel Room Attendant

Job Overview

POSITION PURPOSE:

Ensure all Guest Rooms are clean and maintained according to the standards set forth by the hotel and IDM the management company.

Perform necessary cleaning duties in guest rooms and corresponding public areas (i.e., wipe down stairwells, maintain all ash urns, clean glass), and general cleaning of public areas. Work is to be completed in the allotted time ensuring the productivity of the department.

Responsible for being knowledgeable about the hotel and providing the highest levels of guest service through direct guest contact and cleanliness levels.

Ensure all tools and equipment necessary are properly maintained and stocked.

Maintain, at all times, a neat and clean professional appearance.

Ensure work area is clean when finished.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.  In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Hotel Julien Dubuque rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities.  Associates who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

 In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:

• Enforce hotel safety standards.

• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.

• Report property deficiencies to the management and/or the appropriate department.
