Tax Planner Specialist

Location: Dubuque, IA (Preference) or Platteville, WI

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Planner Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and filing of Federal and State income tax returns.
• Handling tax return billing and tracking.
• Reviewing prospective client tax returns to identify planning opportunities.
• Conducting tax projections and annual tax planning for current clients.
• Performing IRA to Roth IRA conversion analysis.
• Monitoring IRA and Roth IRA contributions.
• Tracking Simple IRA and 401k contributions.
• Keeping financial advisors updated on ever-changing tax laws.
• This role is not responsible for generating its own tax clients; instead, it focuses on servicing our existing client base.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Several years of tax preparation experience.
• CPA or EA designation preferred, must have two years of tax experience.
• High degree of integrity, motivation, and a strong work ethic.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Self-starter, problem solver, and a goal-oriented team player.
• Ability to learn and utilize the Ultra Tax software system.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive compensation and benefits, including:

• Base salary ranging from $70,000 to $130,000, based on experience
• Room for growth
• 5% company match for 401(k) contributions.
• Additional bonuses
