Job Overview
The Data Control Internship will begin in May and end in December 2024.
The Data Control Technician Intern will assist in day-to-day activities and function as a member of the IT Operations team. You’ll get to experience working with critical business systems in a corporate environment, while learning about enterprise workload automation/scheduling, enterprise monitoring and develop or further develop several IT related skills. In addition, you will be responsible for:
• Monitoring the health of applications and systems
• Monitoring the status of schedules, and corresponding batch jobs, for success and/or failure
• Researching job failures, resolving where possible, and creating work orders to track issues
• Researching, recommending and implementing process improvements where applicable
• Answering support calls and interacting with end users
• Participating on a team that provides 24x7 support for the company
| We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team with a major related to Computer Science, MIS or Information Technology. Ideally you will have strong communication skills and a solid analytical skill set with the ability to assess multiple situations simultaneously and take action accordingly. We are also looking for: • At least Junior or Senior standing, recent graduates may be considered • Cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher • Understanding and familiarity with computing systems • Exceptional customer service skills and previous work experience in a customer service role • Basic system administration skills with Window Server or Linux operating systems • Basic understanding of scripting and knowledge of scripting languages.We value onsite collaboration so this role requires onsite work in our Monroe office Tuesday - Thursday. There is generally flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. To take advantage of the remote work option, you must have reliable, high-speed internet and appropriate home office ergonomics. Please note this position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
