We require a motivated and committed individual who seeks a career in a fast paced manufacturing environment. As part of our assembly team, you will be responsible for operating our powder coat paint line. Other skills such as assembly will be beneficial as workloads may vary in other areas of the business from time to time.
This is a hands on, 40 hour permanent role for first shift, Monday through Friday.
Job Responsibilities
- Pick and return powder boxes correctly according to work schedule
- Powder coating of products in spray booth or on conveyer line
- Clean down and maintenance of spray guns and booths
- Surface cleaning and preparation to ensure quality paint
- Assemble various products as per job instructions and directions of Supervisor
- Carry out necessary checks as per specifications
- Communicate with Supervisor regarding any parts/machining discrepancies, which needs to be corrected immediately
- Clocks jobs through company system
- Ensure products are produced to product specifications and SOP’s.
- Ensure stock takes are accurate. Instruct staff to perform additional stock takes as required to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Attend and contribute to meetings as required
- Assist in stock take as directed
- Other duties as requested from time to time
Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience and skill set relevant to assembly functions
- Mechanical experience required
- Effective team builder with demonstrated abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed
