SUMMER CAMP TEACHER

MID JUNE TO END OF JULY

UP TO $21.50/HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

HOURS: 730AM TO 1245PM M-F

Duties and Responsibilities
ΓùÅ Oversee the implementation and planning of programming.
ΓùÅ Supervise and lead activities designed to enhance the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and
physical development of children enrolled in the program.
ΓùÅ Ensure the safety of the children in program at all times.
ΓùÅ Follow the policies and procedures of company.
ΓùÅ Act as a role model for participating children.
ΓùÅ Work as a team with Administration and program teammates.
ΓùÅ Demonstrate positive, high energy.
ΓùÅ Resolve student situations — behavioral, first aid, and emotional.
ΓùÅ Maintain the confidentiality of all participating children, families and co-workers.
ΓùÅ Be responsible for the care of all equipment the children use.
ΓùÅ Maintain professional relationship with the children, parents and co-workers.
ΓùÅ Treat all children, parents, co-workers and school district staff with dignity and respect.
ΓùÅ Attend all staff development trainings planned by company.
ΓùÅ Observe and record the behavior of individual children assigned to their care according to discipline and harassment policies. Report problematic behavior to
the Administration.
ΓùÅ Other duties as requested by the Associate Director.

Qualifications:
ΓùÅ Certification in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Social Work preferred.
ΓùÅ Ability to demonstrate effective and appropriate teaching and discipline styles.
ΓùÅ Ability to adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of students.
ΓùÅ Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
ΓùÅ Dependable, reliable work/volunteer history.
ΓùÅ Reliable daily communication method — either phone or email.
