Job Overview

Medical Associates Clinic is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon to join our team.

Position Overview:

• 6 General Surgeons, 24/7 Hospitalist program support at MercyOne, a Magnet Recognized hospital
• 1:6 call
• Built-in referrals (including referrals from surrounding rural offices), ready-made patient panel
• Services offered include: bread and butter general surgery including laparoscopic and robotic procedures, comprehensive breast care including ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsies, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, venous closure, trauma coverage
• Shareholder eligibility after the first full calendar year
• Iowa ranked #1 Best State, 2018 U.S. News & World Report’s Best State rankings (#4 to practice medicine, #5 in education)

Comprehensive Cancer Center

MercyOne Medical Center and Medical Associates opened a new, state-of-the-art, fully integrated, comprehensive cancer center in June, 2020. The center is the first in Dubuque and the tri-state region to conveniently offer an array of hematology/oncology outpatient services including chemotherapy infusion along with radiation oncology services in the same building. Features of the new cancer center include state-of-the-art technology, access to pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, nurse navigators, and other members of the care team in one convenient location.
