PROGRAM COORDINATOR

SALARY: 38K-42K /YEAR

Principle Responsibilities: Program Coordinator is expected to work closely with out of school time program coordination, enrichment/curriculum planning,  and evaluation & grants support.

Principle responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

 

Program Coordination: Works closely with the Director of Programs, Program Team, and site teammates to offer programming that aligns with the organization's culture and values of excellence, innovation, and wellbeing.

  • Supervise and support school year and summer programs providing effective & quality program oversight, modeling/coaching.
  • Communicate with teammates on a regular basis, including any pertinent information regarding children, parents and program.
  • Scheduling for program teammates/placements.
  • Assist with and utilize communication and planning tools with program site teams.
  • Assist with orientations, parent registrations, and site team meetings.
  • Work with teammates to plan, oversee, and participate in necessary family engagement events during school year and summer.
  • Assist with emergency procedure planning with other teammates for programs & office locations. 
  • Assist with attendance, snack, and student/parent records to be on file and accurate.

 

Enrichment/Curriculum: Works closely with the program team and site teams on enrichment & curriculum  opportunities and support for out of school programs and offerings. 

  • Planning and organization of enrichment opportunities with students/staff/parents.
  • Communicating necessary information on enrichment activities & offerings. 
  • Providing pertinent receipts, budget information, reporting requirements/documents, and proof of fulfillment for all enrichment offerings. 
  • Assist with planning and organization of curriculum tools with students/staff/parents.
  • Assist with necessary information on curriculum tools & offerings. 
  • Stay abreast of best practices for out of school time learning surrounding smart & healthy enrichment offerings within communities.
  • Participate in approved professional development opportunities.

Evaluation & Grants Support: Work closely with the Director of Strategic Resources and Director of Programs  to ensure all program evaluation/outcome requirements are implemented and reported on with fidelity.

  • Assist with program evaluation processes, such as data collection, data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assists with aligning evaluation efforts to accurately and effectively measure program objectives.
  • Support an outcome driven program approach by assisting in internal communication and review of program outcomes to inform efforts to continuously improve programming.
  • Support various grant writing & management efforts, such as assisting securing relevant program funds, keeping the program team informed on grant funding expectations , aligning programs with any grant requirements, and supporting grant reporting requirements. 

 

Qualifications: Experience in an education-focused nonprofit. This person must possess organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.   Must have experience working with students and families and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.  Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required.  

 

 Requirements and Reporting

  • Participate in all staff and team meetings, as well as approved professional development.
  • Assist with site staff and parent orientations, communications, and trainings as needed.
  • Utilize project management systems that are necessary.
  • Assist with special events and fundraisers as needed
