Job Description

Classification:                     Part-time; non-exempt

Hours:                                   Saturday 6:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; May through October (about 6 hours per week)

Salary:                                   $11 per hour

The Dubuque Farmers’ Market Assistant’s overall role is to participate in customer service and token sales and the Farmers’ Market.

The specific duties of the Dubuque Farmers’ Market Assistant include performing customer service, selling tokens and Double Up Food Bucks, Farmers’ Market t-shirt sales, and promotions on behalf of Dubuque Main Street.

Responsibilities

• Engage with community groups and stakeholders to promote Dubuque Main Street and the Dubuque Farmers’ Market
• Engage with Main Street staff, Farmers’ Market Coordinator, and the Farmers’ Market Committee to facilitate a thriving market
• Providing exceptional customer service to Farmers’ Market attendees

Requirements and skills

• 2+ years of customer service experience
• Word processing and/or data entry skills
• Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
