Classification:                     Part-time; non-exempt; seasonal

Salary:                                   $15 per hour

The Event Crew’s overall role is to set up and tear down event equipment for various Dubuque Main Street events.

The specific duties of the Event Crew include maintaining a high level of customer service, setting up event equipment/taking it back down, enforcing event rules, staying on time with permit details, driving/loading/unloading the DMS truck/gator, and other duties as assigned by Dubuque Main Street staff.

Responsibilities

• Engage with event volunteers, talent, DMS staff, and vendors before and after events
• Ensure events are set up on time and correctly
• Load and unloading materials and equipment from trucks
• Tear down events and return all equipment safely to DMS storage facilities
• Maintain a clean eventscape while accomplishing tasks
• Unloading materials and equipment from trucks
• Follow safety precautions

Requirements and skills

• A valid driver’s license preferred
• Skill in the use of operating basic maintenance equipment to build and strike sets
• Ability to lift to 100lbs
• Excellent communication and organization skills
