Job Overview

Key West Early Childhood Center is seeking a Licensed Preschool Teacher for our Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program. The successful candidate must have a valid teaching license with an Early Childhood Endorsement or be willing to add the endorsement.   The candidate is a child centered teacher who values building positive relationships with children and families and successfully collaborates with other adults to make a developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children.  Must be reliable, responsible, and self-reflective.   This person must provide a safe, quality, consistent environment for individual growth and the well being of each child.  Experience working with children in a teaching setting is preferred. Applicant must successfully complete state and national background check and physical.  This is a full time, 10 month position with the option of 2 extra months in the summer with additional compensation. Pay is 50,000+ which includes bonuses and up to $9,200 a year (starts after 6 months) in bonuses from the state just for being an early childhood licensed teacher through the Wage$ program at our center. Benefits include, paid time off and child care discounts. A $1000 Child Care Professional Attraction Grant is available to qualifying new hires.
